Like the title says, we do have a Ventrilo server for the Minecraft Addicts server! Of late, it in my opinion isn't being used enough.

The information for the server is:

Hostname: vent.minecraftaddicts.com
Port Number: 11500

For those who don't know what Ventrilo is, it is a voice chat software that allows people to well... chat.

I think the simple answer is that using your voice online is a big step for someone to take. Don't be shy! :)
 
Having no mic isn't much of a crutch, there is tts and chat available as well. Just because you don't say anything doesn't mean that you cant listen!
 
Honestly vent is just as friendly as on the server (maybe more so?) and there's nearly always something hilarious goin down!
 
oh those were the days yen sinning... lofp just being silly with water... yennages live cardboard cooking fiasco's and fire alarms.... me buing attacked by msfluffy.... and godspeeds sarcasm with great clarity!

most of all the staff is in vent on a daily basis. and were there to help and have fun.

Not having a mic, or not wanting to talk shouldn't be an issue, the first time I was pulled into vent was because I had violated someones land claim and Tigger asked me to join vent so he could talk to me, I didn't have a mic and so I just listened and used chat to respond. Works well and Tigger was able to work things out without having to type everything out.
 
Haha I'm thinking a return to the good ol' days this weekend, I've bought a massively discounted 6 pack of shall we say past their prime beers (they taste friggin awful) and the only way I'm gonna be able to drink em is by getting so drunk I don't experience the sense of taste anymore. Luckily I've got supplies in to cover for that eventuality as well :)

Btw parents will approve of people joining to listen to my rantings as it's a good education as to why alcohol is bad!
