I was playing with some old jars I had. I miss the olden days, but I can say minecraft overall has improved.

Your point? and get a 1.1.0 screenshot the transition of the different biomes is smoother.
 
Minecraft overall has improved although i wish they put other features on priority over others throughout the course of the development. And why havent they made bukkit like, the official server developer. Almost every good server uses it...they should be getting early copies so they can start porting faster
