Bill sure wasn't on my good side today. Anyway, the boards are back, no data lose, that's a good thing. I'm off to bed now..

Just woke up.

It started when I rebooted mysql for an update. mysql service hung on start and failed. It's a bug with windows and mysql. One very good reason not to use it on windows. So, off the races (google), solution http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=49233. The big moment was switching the data folder in my.ini to Program Files (x86) which I had to create manually because I've never used it on my x64 system. The bug is you must run x64 mysql in x86 folder, and follow very exact steps at install. It only took 12 hours to get to that point, but hurray. At one point I switched DNS and migrated everything to the other server. This was by far the most painful process I've ever had with windows and some software.

Nice work Jangles! I am just going to act like I understood you last reply and say thanks.
