Does anyone use adobe premire?

Does anyone know how to use adobe premiere elements 10? I can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong. For example; I have a video clip on my hard drive, the quality is fine. I use the "get media from files" button in adobe premiere. I select the clip from my hard drive and I put it into my timeline. The quailty is alot lower and pixelated than the one on my drive. The original clip is still fine. Does anyone know whats going on here? I there a setting that I'm missing. If anyone knows what is causing this I would greatly appriciate it if you could help me out. I am using a mid-2011 iMac with Mac OSX 10.7
 
Speaking from After Effects, the preview might be set to show at a different quality. I know in AE, you can set the preview to render at Quarter, Half, or Full. Hope that helps
 
Ah yes, the playback quality was set to automatic instead of highest. Thanks you!
 
yea when your working in any adobe video editor always have your preview quality at medium.. helps with quick loads at times. render will always be whatever you set it as though.
