That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Hoarde... this is the best minigame known to minecrafters. Basically you spawn different creatures for each round in a small little stadium thing. And every 5 rounds the stadium gets harder (eg, the walls turn to lava) . Last person standing wins some sort of prize. PVP would be disabled.

i think this would be awesome. 2 big teams at war....

you could have a 10 minute warmup to build bases/traps/etc and set it to one life only, once you die, you get respawn at the perimeter or a jail or something.

really any of these ideas are cool and id participate in them all. except godspeedz.

Well, if they died, they would simply goto the spawn, and not be allowed in. I love the trap idea, But we should only give them a certain mount of supplies for traps. And we could leave chests in secret places, filled with war goodies. And each player can have a gold block on them, and when killed, the player takes their gold block, and laces it at a goal at a certain spot, but can have that gold block taken by the other team. This way, players who gained a lot of kills have lots of gold blocks, so if they are killed, the player who killed them has a lot of gold blocks. Kind of a reward for killing a high-killing player. a And NO LEADERSHIP ROLES. This prevents in-team fights. Everyone has one goal. Kill the other team. Not to mention Capture the flag is also possible, using diamond and iron blocks.

The only thing stopping this from happening is i need to know a large amount of people will actually want to do this. At least 10 people need to be in on this one, and if it goes higher, it needs to be an even number. If you want to have this kind of battle, please give your name to the player count. A battle area has been considered, but other areas can be considered at a vote.

Go for 10 or more!

I would've hoped I started a boat race craze but I haven't shown much of it off. Too busy messing with redstone for multi floor elevators in tight spaces and such. I would like to see a circuit created by everyone and then we all select which ones should be included in a Grand Prix.

Refined interesting idea... however I have seen those types of competitions happen before on other servers. All I can say is lagtastic. Its so bad it even would effect the different worlds.

Well If you have a heard of Eurovision (the song contest)
We could have people represent various regions (builds, Note blocks songs, Ect.) and have other regions vote on it as well (you can't vote for your own region) also a region has a max vote amount of 12 (to prevent overbalance)
we could also have live songs made then posted on youtube then posted on This site
(basically It mimics Eurovision's rules)

So The whole point of the contest is so countrys can brag on who has more talent
Wouldn't It be fun to be able to represent your region and brag about?

So I guess any show of talent is allowed to be entered (but RM gets final discretion)

Yeah call it Addivision or something

Kking1's Castle Defense

Two Teams - Red vs Blue

One team has 24 hours to build a fortification (with traps) within a limited space.
Could use arrow shooters, armed players, lava pits, falling debris... ect.

No obsidian allowed (ex surround throne with multiple layers) The throne must be accessible in at least one way so that a payer outside the fortification can reach it without having to break a single block.

No mini map, x-ray packs, mineral finders, depth viewers, ect allowed. Must use the vanilla gui.

The opposing team has a set time to attack and reach kking's throne within the castle.

The play area would be a separate small world which would be reset to it's original condition after each match.

Players could put up a certain amount of caps to participate. The prize money being split equally among the winners.

There could be a default stockpile of materials and armor for the defending team to make use of.

No single match would be the same. It would have that epic feel to it, and I think it would build good team work and cooperation.

I'd be interested in seeing a song contest... I don't think people make enough use of note blocks. One of the difficulties however is the amount of blocks needed to make a good song -- and space requirements. I'd like to see more songs on the server though...
