Helloooo,
just wondering about 1.4.4?
i updated, thought it was a bug fix and wouldnt be a problem.
but, course i cant join.
anyone know if were updating soon? or if theres
something i can do?

I know, but i follow the instructions, etc. and It never seems to work for me.

Hey steffen,

Just download the jar file to your computer, press and hold the Windows key or conversely open the start menu and type in %APPDATA% and hit enter.

Look for a folder called .minecraft it has a period in front so it should be near the top. Open it and look for a folder called bin open that and copy the minecraft.jar file you downloaded there.

Thats it!

Steff (And others) for future referance when you're on a PC you can only downgrade when the jar file is named minecraft.jar

Not something like.... mineraft.jar.1.4

Wait i thought the 1.4".4" as in minor updates wouldnt affect logging into servers version wise

That was only for 1.2.4 and 1.2.5. I know because all my mods carried over directly.

Some plugins have lost functions (mainly factions) so in order to update we need an update for the plugin or we need to drop the missing functions (War and Hell would most likely have to shut down again temporarily.)

I believe Mojang changed or modified the server protocol, and thats why the server needs to be updated in order to log in with the new client. But don't quote me on that.
