Freeze on sever login page

Anyone else have issues logging on to any server? I get to where it says 'Logging in...' and Minecraft freezes. If I wait long enough it shows this

Any ideas?
minecraft.net seems to be up via ping.

and yes I tried it vanilla, 1.7, 1.8, new bin, new .minecraft, after restart, etc.

Same thing here, too.
Didn't change anything and I could still play yesterday, so I don't think it's fully (or at all) client side.
Maybe minecraft.net acting up, again, or something's going on on the server.

yea and im getting errors with similar responce codes to when mojang mucked up serverside login so maybe one on em slipped at coding again cause im getting really strange errors too

if u log in then quickly press cancel and get end of stream its most likely mojang as thats what i tried last time sorry for double posting btw

Hey guys, mc.net is confirmed to be down at the moment, see this tweet from Notch for info, at the moment Mollstam is taking a look at it

UPDATE: Literally as I was posting this Mollstam tweeted saying it's back up so you should be ok

For reference, if you're ever wondering about whether or not minecraft.net is down head over to the Mojang site and check the tweets on the right. If you can't see anything in the latest tweets related to mc.net issues then you can always check the twitter pages of the staff (no Twitter account required), specifically Notch (lots of people usually complain to him when mc.net has issues) and Mollstam (he's their web guy so always posts updates about the progress/status of the fix etc. and is probably the best one to check for specific mc.net info)

Our server is never down for more than an hour ever. So don't freak out too much. Usually when a user can't login its mojangs fault not ours. And I'm sure the server is fine. Always check irc for theaddictsbot if he isn't there server is down. If he is there server is up.
