If you are looking for something to do in single player try out new new prerelease of redpower... it has tons of new stuff including FRAMES:
You can make gigantic robot sculptures that can walk and stuff like that. Or tunnel bores, or anything. It also has new redpowerish blocks like the 8k ram module and you can write your own OS, but i wont explain that.

Ive been playing this hardcore for the past day lol.
