Halp im confused

So... When people reply or post something, they sometimes don't have their own MC skin as there pic and have a little banner. Aaaaand I don't have clue how to do this. If you could tell me that would be awesome.

another thing I saw is that people have things like "golden hatchet" or "iron trench digger" and so on and so forth. Do you have to have a certain amount of posts? Or do the staff them selves pick that?

The titles are to do with the number of posts you have and should correspond with the tool on your builder badge.
