How to make a dull face, alluring?

Need an idea for my build. As you can see the tower is complete, just one problem.. it's rather primitive. Any ideas for a design I could run down the side of it (on the flat gray faces of the tower)

you can make it a princess castle, and on the outside, have a dragon standing, that is peeking inside the tower!
 
Maybe add some windows, with some vines to add age. Yeah, definitely windows. The shape is nice, but it is plain , as you have said it was. Iron Bar windows i suppose would look good, give it an old dungeon look. Maybe some fake damaged areas to make it look like a war happened?
 
Maybe take advantage of its position on a mountain, some lookout looking things. Maybe a drain from it going down the mountain? I'm just thinking these things up as i go along.

NOTE: yes, i know i can edit my original reply it, but for some reason the buttons aren't working for me.
 
And I also see a little bit of the corner hanging off a bit. Maybe extend that corner down,
So that it dosnt look like it was MCedited in ( not that you could with Anvil).
 
Yep, windows. Maybe a small doorway at the top leading onto a balcony.
