I don't really understand the concept of factions... every now and then I hear about a "raid" on a base but it was my understanding that you can't destroy another factions territory.

So what's really the point? Just to have enemies and allies and roam around in a gang collecting resources?

lol, I don't mean to sound arrogant... I just don't "get" factions.

Yeah, the combat mechanics of the plugin aren't the best tbh. I suppose it would work better on a server with only PvP.

You can destory another factions territory, with TNT cannons and creepers. Also, if you kill them enough and their power gets below the land they own you can claim a chunk and destroy that too. :)

Yeah, TNT cannons are used a lot. If you blow up the chest, you can also take what was in the chest.

This is why some places are underwater, underground, or covered in water. TNT can't destroy anything when submerged in water.

THe thing about this faction, is that is implies that factions will battle each other at the same time. Most of the time, factions find an enemy base, and then blow it up, said base owners get angry, find who did it , attack THEIR base, and rincse and repeat, until
someone either surrenders or ragequits.

I believe that the faction world is still growing and hasn't matured yet. Give it some time when the rivalries start brewing with 20 man factions. The word raid has a different meaning then.

Also, as faction bases get built and team become stronger there will be no possible way to go into survival/PvP without a faction and that is what I think was the purpose of this separate world.

Okay, that helps explain it a little better.

Thanks guys :)

Also , since there are now fire charges on 1.2 AKA the Molotov cocktail of Minecraft, anything wood or burnable will be obliterated. Not to mention they go really far, they just start to waver, and arnt as accurate in long distances.
