I hope the people who downloaded these games are just looking for a quick fix while they wait for Minecraft.
I realize even Minecraft is technically not the first game of this type/ genre, but they're the ones who made it as popular as it is!

I think the fact that the three games contain either "craft" or "mine" in their title just shows that the games are literally Minecraft clones. I don't even need to say anything about the graphics as you can clearly see them in the title cards.

What about world of warcraft or starcraft? I find it disgusting that Notch copied all these games from these indie developers.

you can add craft or mine to any game just as long as the contents of it is not extremely similar...expect "Scrolls"

I've seen and played some of these games, and they are absolutely terrible and somehow even more buggy than Minecraft.
Minecraft is not really an original but gave its own 'twist' which made games like these popular again. It's fine for people to make games similar to Minecraft but at least name it something that doesn't really copy the name (craft not included in this, only mine) and give the game your own little twist.

The version i played, which i believe was reviewed by the yogscast, had spiders and creeper like monsters but the main concept of the game was exactly like minecraft but included things like built in shops by using some sort of shopping bench (which doesn't even make sense, but what does right...). The thing that was quite interesting was the fact that you had to explore to find things like blueprints to upgrade your weapons and tools from wood to stone etc. (which seemed very tedious in the long run)

The reason i think that people play such games is because they simply don't want to buy minecraft in its current unfinished state or think it's way too expensive for a simple game that seems to have been put together very badly (i don't see why not though, its much better than some of these copies)

No, in my opinion, these people are just what the title of this thread says... I really don't mind that they copy the concept, but please don't copy everything?...

Yeah, because Minecraft is an RTS or MMORPG. Don't be a smartass.
These games are clones, it's not like just the titles are similar.

If i had an xbox I would at least try one of those just because it has fancy water.

alos one of the main little features of minecraft is how many mods there are for it,.. you cant really mod an xbox game as easily as you can a PC game, unless you put into the computer and open up the files.

But minecraft can be a complet;y different game, have enough mods for it.

That is one big feature that those clones really dont have.

There likely won't be that many easy to install mods for minecraft on the xbox, UNLESS MOJANG FINALLY ENABLES MOD-SUPPORT ALL AROUND.
