IRC Chat Problem

Hey guys
Sooo I would love to talk in game from my iPad but whenever I try to chat something it says cannot connect to channel #theaddicts. I am typing .say before I type the chat, but I'm still getting this error.
Am I on the wrong channel? Am I not doing something right?

Are you using an IRC client, or are you using the 'chat' button from here?

When you say 'I am typing .say before I type the chat' - where are you typing that?

Using .say is no longer necessary. Were you voiced (+ beside your name) at the time of this issue?

No I don't think so, it's just that every time I try to chat wether I type .say or not it says cannot connect to channel #theaddicts. Do I have to hav to use the chat in the website?

you have to be voiced before you can say anything in IRC. otherwise you get the error that says cannot connect to channel #theAddicts.

Does that mean, unless an admin or operator gives us (+voice) using IRC to chat is hopeless. Or is there a way we can give ourselves (+voice) so we can chat?

Yes, one of the Ops on the server must give you voice to chat. If you have a registered nick, we can add you to the auto-voice list through chanserv.
