IRC isn't working for me?

Hello,

I want to join IRC but i think i need to sign up-it says i can't connect-but i still think i need to sign up. How do i?

I'm pretty sure the IRC is no longer active. Or whatever term you can associate with it.
 
IRC is disabled for the time being as the faction chat was able to be seen by all.
 
irc has been disabled since january 1st. we continuously have tried to update it to no prevail. personal messages and such were constantly being viewed and players were trolling private conversations. until that is fixed it will not make a reappearance.

Especially the faction chat leaking out was annoying. I think almost every faction was spying via IRC once everyone knew...
 
im planning to do some research into the IRC plugin this weekend. ill see if i can get it fixed once and for all.
 
Pretty much as players in game chat it can be read on the site by anyone, and a if singed in on the site, you could respond.
