Is ice supposed to form or is it a bug?

I have ice forming on my land now in build, which it wasn't before we updated to 1.1 and there is also ice forming on and around the floating island in pvp making it a bit difficult to get off the island.

Probably a biome shift related to the update. We'll keep an eye on PvP to make sure the new forming ice doesn't cause any problems.

I believe it may have something to do with the smoother biome change. This is a common thing that has been happening. I won't call it a bug.

I really really do hate ice. I can not stress this enough.

This one might be a long shot, but since land claims in build are separate regions, is there anyway someone could change the ice-formation flag in my region to deny? Or is this not possible because it has a parent? I'm not too experienced with worldguard, I only know the basics. Having ice totally screws up my plans.

It HAS caused a bit of a problem... I remember seeing an ice ring around the island, killing people when they fall. I understand this is pvp, but not that close to the safe zone! It's not forming anywhere else though, so it might be a player planted antic. What a dirty trick, if that be the case

i believe there was a biome shift due to a changed seed when we went to 1.1

Well, can we at least get someone to destroy that ice? Not only is it a killer, but people are using the Ice for its safe zone, basically hugging it.

If the ice were to be just destroyed it would soon reform.
Please be patient and wait for Jangles to change the seed of the world or shift the spawn slightly, it shouldn't be causing that many problems as there are water flows for you to go down instead of just dying from the fall.
