fired up the xbox and about to put the disc in.
Anyone else got it on release day?

I got it at the midnight opening like a geek. Add me: AK Killer Grunt

so thats who added me richey!

anyways good cinematography.. disappointing story.

2 disks.. one is just maps?

suggestion to dumb developers make multiplayer 1 disk total... make one disk all campain! would have made the game longer.

Also i beleive its turning into CoD a bit so a little disapoint but its not bad

Disk 2 is to install all the multiplayer stuff, since campaign pretty much took up all of disk 1.
Both disks are about 8 GB each if those illegal downloadable versions are correct, so it's not like there's nothing on either of the disks.
And to be honest, the campaign was a little dissappointing, but it wasn't the worst story. Reach's story was the worst in a long time. Sure it made reasonable sense in the game, but it messed up halo's canon way beyond what peope thought a game would or could ever do.

But remember, for those who don't find any more joy in campaign after finishing it, there's always Spartan Ops every week.

Anyways, the loadouts system in multiplayer (and spartan ops) aren't that bad when you finally reach levels where you can actually pick what you want, but the problem is that however much it was balanced, it's just not balanced enough in quite a few occasions.

But gameplay-wise it's pretty beast, and in the end, that's what actually draws people to the game. It's back up there in my list of best gameplay-games along with Halo 2 and 3, but not quite the same. Being able to kill people faster is fun, but it also means that YOU can be killed faster. In some situations where you're almost around a corner and safe, you don't make it whereas in the previous halo games you'd have made it to safety. There's something different about the game that does in fact make it feel a bit more like CoD, but it's not as disturbing as it seemed when I heard people complaining about it.

Actually, I believe that most of it's long-term succes will be because Reach sucked so much and lacked the real Halo gameplay feel (according to A LOT of people) and not because it's the best game out there.

All in all I give it an 8.8/10 and I think anyone with an xbox should get it (if you're into shooters, ofc).

P.S. Wow why did I just write a review... :/

AHAH..

Halo 4.. my take multiplayer will never be the same after halo 3.

once loadouts were added i have left it as it is now call of duty... i dont care for multiplayer anymore on that game or cod..

personally if a game cant stand on its own in campain its not game at all.

kill faster... = no strategy or skill.

makes real gamers not cod crybabys sad for the franchise...

bring back halo 1+2+3 style gaming and then ill get back into the real halo. otherwise i just dont care.

and now im completely done with this topic.. will not be back

I beg to differ, faster killing does not mean no strategy or skill, all it means is that you have to change your strategy and learn some new skills to match the faster killing speed. If you walk around a map in a certain way and it lets you get the jump on people and kill them before they can kill you, then that's a good strategy. If you get the jump on someone and damage them a lot, yet they still kill you first, you simply aren't skilled enough. Believe me, strafing, jumping around the corners, rushing the power weapons, and holding the high ground is still very much alive in Halo 4, unlike Halo Reach, where strafers and jumpers were punished with extra bloom, causing you to lose from the people sitting crouching in a corner who get rewarded with less bloom.

All in all, Halo 4 is different, but it's not as bad as Reach and it's not as good as halo 3.

One thing I especially didn't like is how they changed the melee distance. I keep getting double melee'd by people who've mastered that skill already and when I try and hit them back I never hit them, whereas in the previous games I would've from the same distance.
