Launching problems

Is anyone else having trouble logging in. My launcher takes about 10 minutes to pop up, before i can put my password in. It then takes 8 - 10 attempts to loggin and then when i try and log on our server, it keeps timing out. I dont think its a problem my end, because World of Warcraft launches fine without delay. I've also tried launching minecraft on a laptop, with the same results.
 
Quick update. Just checked the forums on minecraft.net, and loads of people are having the same problem.
 
My launcher took like 5 mins to open, a couple of tries to log into minecraft.net, and could not log into the server. Got a 503 and an end of stream. Nobody else is online...I think the server is down.
 
I believe minecraft.net may be causing the problems, I was getting major issues with it earlier and now it seems to have completely died.

EDIT: Quick update, as of about 4 minutes ago, mollstam appears to be trying to fix the issue according to the mojang twitter accounts
 
Every damn weekend there are problems, you'd think they would do something about it but Notch is probably on another vacation or something.

I still remember what got you in trouble on minecraft forums :D But it really does apply in this situation!
 
I have been surfing the minecraftforum.net (that just recently went down) and there were 10-15 threads about this issue. I am also having the issue and have been trying all day....

this peeves me off... Thanks Mojang, you suck.


*Edit* Just was able to log in after 7 tries....
