So I'm pretty sure I figured out the hint in question, but I will ask this:

Is there a concrete number of staff secrets in each temple area or does it fluctuate for each?

HINT: It fluctuates for each.

If you noticed none of these "staff secrets" as you call them, are organized in any manner not even there signs.

This is because they are "a side quest" and nothing more.
They are not your goal.

now the locations do have a connection with nwaps and vise versa

The thing to keep in mind is the difference (meaning) between sandstone blocks on the walls and the ones that are on the ground or on the ceiling.

In the lapis room, is there a trick to finding the right hole?
If so, what is that trick? Be as vague as you like.

HINT: As you know there is more then One right hole. to find one of them its a pure guessing game so good luck on that one. The other one the one I think you really want can be found with the fallowing hint.
