Here are the results to the survey that you guys kindly filled in.

We're currently wondering what types of implementations of these you would like. Creative for instance, what type of land generation would you like to see (flatland/normal)?

Something I wish I added into my survey was:

It would be great to have land claim on a survival surver... That or a build world with mobs.... I loved working in the PvE world, however had a hard time defending my stuff against not only mobs, but also douche bags... Understanding and abiding by the PvE rules was a challenge for me as I wanted to directly attack or hide everything like a pack rat.

Otherwise, I would love to help out with editting, acting, voice acting, scripting, or whatever needed with scripted shorts! That would be great!

That was the downfall of the PVE Community, maybe if this happens we could try again without invisible people randomly deciding "let's grief the town where the most valuable crap is probably mob drops"
 
A new position for moderating just PvE? We tried that with our original PvE village, and for the most part it worked out well.
 
Maybe a combo of normal and flat. I personally would love to have normal though. Some people (redstoners) might like flat areas though. I would mainly use it for development of things that I would implement into my builds, so I would officially choose flat. Though I'm all for both.

Also, suggestion for chats.

-Could there be a global chat between all worlds, then separate chats for each independent world?
-Possibly a private chat where the user could invite 2-10 others and talk privately instead of in the world chat?

Hey astra, Staff has been watching this thread, and wondering if people will come out with some feedback on the survey.
There is a thread on admin forums regarding the survey, where I've just posted asking staff what they would like to put out into this thread.

I encourage the community to post reactions and ideas about the survey on this thread, the discussion here will definitely help guide the server.

Personally I like the idea Maple added about plugins for chat that could be similar to faction chat, where people could form chat groups.
 
The group chat thing would be great, since /r can be a pain sometimes...like if you're messaging two people at once, you're gonna get mixed up...or if you're doing a group project and can't go in teamspeak, talking to all the different people through pm would be a pain
 
Maybe if factions/towny comes into play, we could use the builds already in the build world? Each faction would have a build city(with permission from the owner) and there would be certain requirements to be met by the enemy in order to grief it. As an afterthought, maybe if this was done there could be support NPCs that defend the city.

Villagers will take full grown crops from their villages starting in 1.8, so maybe they could also farm plants for the faction?
 
If you get the right villagers, you can create infinite bread. The farmer will break the wheat in 1.8, then if they see another villager and have wheat, they'll make bread and toss it to the other villager who is not a farmer. Using fence and hoppers, you could then collect that bread. That would lead to autofarms, for the people smart enough.

I also thought, on a server with multiverse, something that allows you to deposit to an online system may be equitable if we upgrade maps, or have a reason to 'lose' saved data. See more info here:

Last mention, would be a dynamap. This would allow us to go to the website to see where our friends are in a near real time. I unfortunately forgot what the exact plugin that I was using with my previous community, however found a plugin similar to what I am speaking of.

Regardless of my suggestions here, at this point of my mine craft playing, would love a survival based build world. If we have to delegate a Mod to police this, so be it. I'd offer to do what needs to be done to get something like this. The build world is losing it's appeal to me rapidly. I need more edge to keep myself interactive.

Hope this is useful. I do enjoy this community regardless...

Pretty sure what they mean by capes is that if you install the mod and add a custom cape, you and everyone else with the mod can see it. I don't think you can make it to where if you donate to the server you get a cape. ;-; or can you?
