Minecraft 1.5 rollback.

The 1.6.* update dropped today, if you don't have a backup of your version 1.5 minecraft.jar, download the official Minecraft Addicts 1.5 vanilla client.

1. download minecraft 1.5
2. exit minecraft completely
3. copy the new minecraft.jar somewhere as a backup
4. replace it with the one from the link above. (rename it minecraft.jar in your .minecraft/bin directory)
5. launch minecraft, connect and build!

To answer the #1 FAQ right off. "As Soon As Possible"

Hey my mac laptop isn't really set up the way that you have laid out for the rollback so i'm just gonna wait till you guys are updated, so please don't get rid of my land

On mac you just go to: Your Hard Drive > Users > (your user file) > Library > Application Support > minecraft > bin > take out the minecraft.jar and keep it on your desktop, rename it to 1.6.jar or something like that. Put in the 1.5 .jar and rename it to "minecraft.jar"

From there it should be good

All you hav to do is get the new launcher and when it asks you if you want to update just click "not now"

he's probably saying that he has already updated and does not want to downgrade

Its not that its hard for me to stay on 1.5 its more like:
I got like 10+ mods and reinstalling them all after switching between 1.6 and 1.5 servers would be a pain

The server is tested by our able administration and when stable, it is updated

The roll back doesnt work for me. What i did was i deleted the minecraft.jar in my .minecraft/bin folder and then replaced it with the minecraft 1.5 which i later renamed. Start the game and it freezes while loading.

back up your saved games folder and delete everything. run the launcher and try the roll back again.
