Minecraft not working

minecraft is kinda of failing for me. for a while the launcher didnt acknowledge my wifi connection. then it worked but when i went into multiplayer all the servers eitheir had no players and when i tried to join the ones that did i couldn't login.
this happened to my bro to so its not my computer nor the wifi since im typing this post so im guessing its the actual minecraft.
has this happened to anyone else or is minecraft just trolling me?

That website is not 100% accurate and doesn't update instantly on refresh.
It is best to use the official server status page, https://help.mojang.com/

You should be looking to see authentication, login and session online.
