Yes, it's time.

A new baby was born today. I got access minutes ago. Basically, this is double the power compared to the server running now. If it lags, it's your crappy computer/internet.

I'm going for 0 downtime, I'll try. I'll be working on backups tonight to preserve the data incase the backup/restore fails.

The last step is changing DNS (server.minecraftaddicts.com) to point to the new server. Every ISP caches DNS differently and it may not update for everyone right away. I'll provide the IP when the time comes just in case. I suggest using google DNS 8.8.8.8 for best DNS results :).

The server is down while I copy the map. The address will be the same, server.minecraftaddicts.com. I just changed DNS it may take 24-48 hours to propagate. If that doesn't connect use the IP 209.15.226.164.

The copy should take less then an hour and if I've done everything correctly I should be able to hit go right away.

I'll keep you updated.
