no FAQ? & some questions

Greetings!

After spending more than a few hours familiarizing myself with the pages on this site I have found no formal FAQ. If there is one, I would appreciate assistance in finding it. I want to learn as much as possible before deciding if I want to build on this site. I would like to build a community of nice homes and also a farm (crops, animals, with large stables and paddocks. I find working a farm relaxing and building nice homes with landscaped lots is a good creative outlet.

Before I submit a claim for a plot: I have a few questions.

1. Can and how does one obtain animals?

2. I read that to see available plots I should click on Land Claims in upper right corner of map. I do not see that. I see on the left hand side where I can click on that, on MARKERS and PLAYERS but nowhere to click to see available plots.

3.Is the Creative world the same as PvE/Nether? Different pages use different names for the worlds.

4. The Rules say each region on the World Map is outlined in different colors. I do not see that. I see all plots outlined in green with a few red.

Hi! I think some of the stuff you were looking for does actually need to be updated. Good catch, we'll add that to the "things to do" list.

1. Normally they wander about on the land and you can lure them onto your plot with food. Sometimes you can lead them to your plot using a lead so long as you don't steal them from someone else's pens.

2. That part does need to be updated. If you click on the Live Map, you can chose a tick box that says "Land Claims" and find one that you like and click it. It will tell you the owner name, and, if it doesn't have an owner, you can claim it using the forum area "Land Claims."

3. Nope, that one's pure Creative with no mobs and all inventory. PvE / Nether you can die and it's Survival with mobs, etc. They're fun and beautiful, though, but definitely with the danger aspect.

4. That one I don't actually know the answer to. I know on the right you can switch worlds with the square boxes under Map Types but I'm not sure we have somewhere where they all are put into one map.

Think of PvE/Nether as resource gathering worlds; the stuff you can't find on your plot can often be obtained in those two worlds. They're like a factions server without the factions or the PvP... you can mine, find spawners, hunt mobs, etc. And if you build a base in one of those worlds, it can be raided.

To add onto these answers.

1. If you cannot find any just ask us and we have help look or if there is someone nearby with animals we may be able to ask them to let you have a few. Or just manage to move them from one of our plots. It has been done before!

2.If you have trouble finding these just ask, some of us know where there are free plots and where the map is most populated. If you are looking for something specifically we could atleast point you in the right direction.

3. The worlds that we have are: Creative, PvE (and a subworld of pve is the nether), Build, Historic (Old build),

4. Every plot is outlined and every taken one does actually have a red line round it. However due to layering the red is below the green as the boundaries are only 1 block away from each other.
