I've tried it. Or at least, tried to try it. It never works for me, always gives me a "saving chunks" screen, then black death. I spent 4 hours once trying to make it work. My conclusion is that my computer is just not powerful enough video-wise to run that sort of crazy awesomeness. It's too bad though; I bet it would make the texture pack I'm working on look great...
