STRICTLY MY OPINION:

'Why PvE?' question:

Yes, build is safe. I wouldn't change build at all. MCA offers diverse methods of play and it should stay that way.

PvE offers the feel of vanilla Minecraft. Food is required, fall damage is taken, fire and lava can kill, mobs are a threat. Now take all that and throw it into a town, it gives players more of a challenge as opposed to building in peace. As much as we despise creepers for sneaking up on us and blowing a hole in out walls, its part of the game, and provides the challenge of needing to defend better. Personally I hadn't really realized it, but I miss that aspect. I think the way the community came together and built a town, knowing full well others would grief, just goes to show that others miss the team-survival aspect as well.

I'm not saying create a whole new world. I'm not saying this needs to have something, if anything, done about it. I'm simply pointing out that the community displayed a different style of play, and perhaps something may be considered in the future to provide that bit of thrill for players that wish for it.

Thanks for reading, it was a fun experiment!

yeah i started it, btw flaff, it looks 200% better than mushtown...even when completely griefed.
it actually has nice paths walls and GOOD houses as a result of some build members in it.
there were only 1 or 2 griefers reported who for some reason have so much time to spare that they'd go around breaking each block...well more power to those 2.
but besides that, everyone was in line and super helpful!
I didn't plan on a whole community, i decided if they wanted to join, id let them. Started with 5 people and next day got 25 people to join on their own, and the next day we were at about 40.
It was really fun keeping people as farmers, wood cutters, engineers, etc and they actually went through with their work!
I loved having to make a building and having a door on it that was actually used instead of for show.
I loved torching the place to have enough light so as not to spawn mobs.
I loved having to keep having to farm for food.
Had to have all tools on me at all times including weapons coz u never know what would happen any time!
so it was all in all a great fun experiment, sadly it didn't last even though I had hoped for it!
if i had a chance to do it again, i'd do it again, and wouldn't change anything at all!
(hint hint : it WILL happen again regardless of special protection or not)

I'm still going to plant landmines, rig houses and generally ruin the day of some 12 year old.
I do it because it is fun to me
and i give zero funny chunks about how much they cry, because i can't stop loling when i see

X was blown up
X: WHO PLANTED A BOMB IN MY HOUSE!!!1111!!!

I laugh and laugh.

i wonder if thats allowed...
trying to kill someone in pve?

TheTrailBoss. I will be keeping an eye on you. PVE killing is against server rules, ragardless of whether you do it face to face or rigging a trap.

He pushed me into TNT back in 1.2.5, or whenever pushing was enabled. Claimed that he didn't push me onto the pressure plate and stole my diamond armor.

So that was report-worthy? Interesting.

On paper, it's a win-win plan.

......So is communism.

...I'VE GOT IT! It has always been my (sarcastic) opinion that Robots + Communism = Solution to all of the world's problems.
QUICK! Somebody find a plugin for PvE that adds communist robots! It's brilliant!

I have asked both yennage and Mr.Jangles, they said planting landmines and traps are fine. As i am not responsible for killing them directly

So limoman, i suggest you ask the other admins.

Actually pushing people on to the pressure plates would be you directly killing them. You pushed them there fully knowing that the pressure plate had TNT underneath.

But what I heard traps were allowed
So a pressure plate with tnt under it is allowed, as long as you let the player himself let it walk on it
Because that is considered a trap to protect your belongings right?
and not a direct kill, as you can not aim it towards a specific player

What a waste of tnt :O

That isn't a waste of tnt. Making a tnt cannon that doesn't fire and blows up where it is and kills yourself is a waste of tnt. There is more tnt there wasted on killing yourself. (This wasn't me who blow myself up and I don't want to say who it was incase they don't want me too)
