STRICTLY MY OPINION:
'Why PvE?' question:
Yes, build is safe. I wouldn't change build at all. MCA offers diverse methods of play and it should stay that way.
PvE offers the feel of vanilla Minecraft. Food is required, fall damage is taken, fire and lava can kill, mobs are a threat. Now take all that and throw it into a town, it gives players more of a challenge as opposed to building in peace. As much as we despise creepers for sneaking up on us and blowing a hole in out walls, its part of the game, and provides the challenge of needing to defend better. Personally I hadn't really realized it, but I miss that aspect. I think the way the community came together and built a town, knowing full well others would grief, just goes to show that others miss the team-survival aspect as well.
I'm not saying create a whole new world. I'm not saying this needs to have something, if anything, done about it. I'm simply pointing out that the community displayed a different style of play, and perhaps something may be considered in the future to provide that bit of thrill for players that wish for it.
Thanks for reading, it was a fun experiment!
