- So recently, after getting bored with working on my texture pack, I went on PvE for the first time. Me and Androcks ran around for a bit, looking for interesting stuff, and scouted for a good place to build a base. While we hiked around, we found a ton of smashed, blown up, and abandoned shelters. Anyways, night was coming, and we found a cool little ruin of a fortress, which we patched up and used as a temporary base. We still had to fend off the occasional wall-climbing spider, and some spots weren't as well-lit and fortified as they looked during the day. But it definitely made mob-hunting easier.
- After Androcks had to go, I continued fixing it up until night came again. That was about when SapphireWolf and Haytoday showed up, probably meandering through, same as me and Androcks had been. I invited them to stay the night and help me defend the fort, and they agreed. The fort was in better shape than the night before, and we were able to walk along the tops of the walls and snipe mobs in relative safety. When morning came, the other guys moved on. Then, I had an idea.
- After that, I went around the wilderness and built a couple little shelters for people to use when they were low on health or supplies. Some idiot smashed a few of them (looking for loot that wasn't there; I never store valuables in PvE) but they didn't take long to repair.
- Anyway, I figure these are pretty handy to travelers, and I intend to build more in future. I just thought I'd let you guys know I'm doing this, so if you see a small-ish shelter with my name on a sign on it, now you know. Feel free to use it as much as you want, but just don't wreck it. Also, if anybody is interested in donating a bit of cobble to build these, or wants to help build them, just let me know in game. You can take me to one you've built, and I'll label it as a ZTS (Zelduc Temporary Shelter) so people know that it's not somebody's base to raid, it's a safe house.

Too long; Didnt Read.
Well. I did. I doubt everyone will not touch your safehouses though zelduc. You may be set up for dissapointment. Lots of new players use pVe without even reading the forums.

Yeah, you're kinda wasting your time here, they'll be gone in a few days.

Somebody has to believe. I will try and help if you need me too. But, As u know. You informed everybody on what these are but in the mean time you also gave a chance for somebody do grief. So understand you will have to fix it a lot. But, it could very well work.

Well I use them too right? So that gives me opportunities to check them out for damage. Plus, in the larger ones, there are signs inside explaining what they are and giving them a heads-up that there aren't any valuables. At all. Although to be honest, I'm dreading the day that I warp to the main fortress and, discovering too late that they destroyed my surveying platform, I fall to my death. But thanks for your support guys! I'll try to build more. The nice thing is, there's not much to grief because it's all cobble and torches.

You should probably edit out the part about the place you check your main fortress from...

Crap, it won't let me edit my post. Well, don't worry, I moved my primary warp to one of the walls. I still have a warp up there, but now if I accidentally die from falling, I can use my new warp to get there quickly and pick up anything I might have dropped. Luckily for me I don't really bring much to PvE most times.
