This contraption is designed to store 6 bits of input into either of its two memory banks, and then can display either bank at any time afterward. So if I flips the switches to 010010, flip the "store to bank 1" switch, and press the "Deliver Input" button, I can then switch on the display for bank one to view the input. More data can be stored to bank two, and either bank can be viewed. A bank needs to be reset if youre changing a value from 1 to 0 but not 0 to 1. You can also to to both banks at the same time.
