Recently I've been experiencing regular lag spikes on the server.
They seem to occur every 5 - 15 minutes and last for about 2 seconds each.

Doesn't seem that a reboot fixes this specific problem so my guess is that it's plugin related.

You may as well post below if you're experiencing the same problem, I've seen it mentioned a few times on the server.

Usually lag spikes are client based rather than server based but by lag spikes I assume it is block lag that you are talking about.. It happens sometimes usually when you break too many blocks (Happens to me to every now and then). I believe that the so many people chatting on the same time may have to do with it. You should try muting the worlds that you are not in. If that doesn't help I don't know what to say. I am sure YouMacManDan has something smart to say.

This particular lag is where everything freezes, you don't see plays moving, you can break blocks etc.
It isn't just me as after some players start the "LAG" spamming.

It is more noticeable when around other players and very annoying in survival.

I've also been experiencing more lag on the server in the last week. It's not constant. It's not my internet connection (as Godspeedz likes to blame). I've seen numerous other in-game comments indicating lag recently too.

It is very fluctuant with me as well.

This morning I started to get Timeout errors than about 3 min later they stopped and continued on my merry way. Plugin issue sounds very probable.

I did watch my send and receive transmissions when I was block lagging and I noticed that it was sending (uploading) information, but there was no receive (download)...

It's hard to tell when it started but my guess would be that it's something to do with the stats tracking or live map.
