single player help

Whenever I try to open or create a new single player world, minecraft crashes. It just shows "saving chunks" then has an error screen for a split second, and it just has a black screen after that. I can still join multiplayer games just fine and I cant seem to figure out whats wrong. Is this happening to anyone else?

Hmm I've heard this is a known bug for some users with 1.9 pre 1 but if you're getting this with 1.7 I'm unsure as to what the cause could be

Yeah Im running 1.7. I did try out the 1.9 pre-release and got the same effect when trying to make a single player game. Maybe its related to that?

maybe a corrupt file from when you went to 1.9pre try deleting al but saves and screenshots from your bin

remember to back up before doing anything

That fixed the problem. I'm still not 100% sure what happened, but I think Ill wait for the stable versions of Minecraft from now on haha.

LOL... this is very ironic. I got this error last night and had to reinstall minecraft.
