I think he monkeyed with the timing a bit. The minecart rate of travel seems a bit fast, the song cuts out the instrumental, and the tunnels seem to be used as buffers for speed correction. Nonetheless, brilliant execution and idea!

he definitely just sped up the video it do the timing

It wasn't timed by the looks of things, you can see that at certain points the video speeds up and slows down, as well as the use of tunnels to get the video to run in sync with the music.
