Everyone is having problems. It has to with minecraft.net I think, with everyone downloading the 1.8 update, it puts a pretty big load on mojang's servers.
 
Dang Mojang or whoever is in charge of this. This should not happen for a game we paid for.

And it should not affect it due to Minecraft Files and Login server being separate.
 
ya no kidding quite dissapointing this update does not seem quite finished at all its quite buggy!
