One thing that kind of fell between chairs is the mod support.. Sorry about that, I take full responsibility for letting that get forgotten about. But when it comes to the new launcher, it got folded into a new exciting project I won’t talk about yet.

Since the community is going to want it BAD now, i guess he might get a move on on the mod support. Just wait and see, technically, this is only the first update of minecraft, if you think about it. So it still has a chance to grow. I do notice that the Mods and Texture Packs is now just Texture packs. I like that. Avoided any confusion to where to put mods.
( not that i don't know how to install mods, i know u put them into the mine craft.jar.)
 
That means there will be a separate place for mods... Maybe a mod installer and get rid of ModLoader/Forge all together.
