I just wanted to take a moment to address all of those burning questions, because it's inevitable that we'll find them scattered around the forums with snippy answers. Feel free to use this thread for all things 1.6 related!
Q: When will the server update to 1.6?
A: As soon as possible. Realistically, we're looking at a couple of weeks.
There are a few events that must occur before we can even begin to TEST the newest update. First, the CraftBukkit team must actually release a stable version of their server mod. Everything relies on this first step.
From their site:
Once the CraftBukkit gets a "stable" version of the Minecraft server application, and releases a modified version, the real fun can begin.
All of the other plugins that work with CraftBukkit (economy, regions, protection, warping, etc. etc.) are actually built against the CraftBukkit code itself. All of these plugins are written by different people. This is generally why our updates take so long.
We have a core set of plugins that we absolutely rely on and that we cannot update without. If we did, we would be putting all of your builds and the server at risk. There are few plugins that we can generally go without (like the shop, for example) if we need to.
These plugins tend to work with each other as well. This makes things even MORE fun since we have to install all of the newest version on our development server and check/re-check/re-re-check that everything ready to go before we pull the trigger on a migration. The last thing we want is to hurry an update and put all of your hard work at risk.
In the meantime, you have 2 options:
1) Roll-back your client to 1.5. This is generally a simple thing to do but I understand that some people don't want to go this route. We have a lot of very knowledgeable users that are more than happy to help you out if you need it.
2) Wait for us to update and join us when the time comes. In this situation, you should try to remain relatively active in the forums for the sake of keeping up. Our world does not stop just because Notch has decided to fix some bugs/add some features.
Regardless, our team is dedicated to delivering a premium product and we will have our finger on the pulse of all updates as they come. We appreciate your patience and understanding with these situations. Without you, we have no server to brag about!

Will there be a CraftBukkit for Minecraft 1.6?
Given the reports of showstopping bugs present in 1.6, there's a high chance a new bugfix update for Minecraft will be out tomorrow or even several times this week. As a result, it is unlikely we will be releasing a Recommended Build for 1.6 until we have something stable to work with.
