I was hoping to be able to design a spleef arena for the contest and play with pistons for a while but I missed out. Although disappointed I did manage to make an elevator which would be worth looking into. This comes off the YT vid created by EthosLab which was a great help.

It started with me trying to find a compact way to build an elevator within a space. This was due to my current land claim with limited space to build one. I would've hoped to make one which could carry multiple people but it was one thing I just couldn't fathom. (Won't stop me from trying).

Anyways, here it is. Screens and a DL file for you to munch on. If you do play the save file or are a redstone lover feedback will be so grateful.

Looks very complicated haha. Nice job. Maybe you posted in the showroom and it was moved here because the showroom is only for creations on this server.
 
Stevz, you already tried to post this to the showroom? Because I"m the showroom mod, and I haven't moved anything around...

Actually it's pretty straight forward. The redstone routes follow the spiral stairs. Check out the YT link in the OP.

I assumed I posted in Showroom. I probably did post this in Community. :(
