I was on for three hours straight when I first logged on. You would not believe the number of "You don't have permission to build here" messages I got, trying to find my plot...

When I first joined, I didn't care about a build plot, I just lived in the outlands. Had a pretty good house that was entirely hidden from the map and not near any major walking routes to anywhere. Then when I wanted to tpa someone over, RefinedCode sent me a tpa just before I could type /tpaccept and griefed the hell out of it. He did miss all my hidden chests though, where I kept the valuable stuff.

I could never find that location again since I left it, so I don't know if it's even recognisable anymore.
