Do yourself a favor and invest in some network attached storage that supports, at the very least, RAID0/1. Many of the devices today, like the D-Link DNS-323 for example, support a pair (or more) of 2TB drives to help offload most file repositories (pictures, documents, music, movies, backups, etc.)

thats just my external ill end up filling my other 1TB in a matter of a few months
