As for the next little while I may be. Afk because I will be doing 10 times more website work...

So I'm asking the community what they would like to see on the site?

What should go and what should stay and what should be added.

Let me know on this topic and give detailed explainations as to why. I'm ignoring any posts with a just because style or few word suggestion with no reasons.

I know some suggestions will need game server involvement. Those will always be handled last as this is for website not server stuff
 
Better mobile site: after the hack attack, not everything's been working. The online users is broken, and so is the member list. Maybe things like that could be fixed. As for style, it works well so I don't see a need to change it.

Dashboard Page: A new page that has on it the list of online users, the Ventrilo widget, and maybe it could show all the new posts too. I personally use the 'New Posts' thing all the time. Putting this all into one page would make the perfect bookmark for the site.

If I think of any more, I'll let you know.
 
Agreed about the mobile page, I've been having an issue with it where it's not keeping me logged in.

As for the main one, no complaints at all about the style etc., the only minor annoyance is the bug where forum sections won't get marked as read unless you go back into them, not sure if that's fixable though.
 
I was wondering if you could make it so when the webpage was resized small enough the floating vote button on the left-hand side would disappear instead of overlapping with the center page, it makes it hard to view the forums on a smaller screen.

Also the link under media the button called pictures leads to an error 404.

Maybe the drop down menus could look a little fancier, most don't need all the space they currently have to show the buttons.

P.S. Great job on the website, please don't take my suggestions as being overly critical.
 
The "keep me logged in thing" still doesn't work. Drives me crazy. So yeah, if you get around to it, then that's something to make sure gets done.
 
Uhm, minecraftaddicts.com in multiple languages?
I could help with translating it to Dutch.
This would make it easier for people who don't read English fluently to navigate the forums or website.
Although you'd probably have to put up a notice saying people have to post in english... yeah :/

That would just be a waste of time when you can right click a page in google chrome and translate to pretty much anything. Having people actually translate pages for an english minecraft server is pointless.
 
everyone who is haveing issues with not staying logged in delete your cookies and history from the browsers your useing and the problem will be fixed... once you log back in.

all good suggestions some i will implement some i may not.....

KEEP THEM COMMING!
 
Zelduc your prblem is the fact that your using internet explorer. Samething happened to me then i switch to chrome lol. Also i would like to ser player stats back up
 
One more thing Fluffy... You still need to fix "Dimond Digger" thing, it drives me mad!!!!(Lol I know we brought it up on a different post but your asking for suggestions...)
 
I agree with shadow with the player stats. I want them back up. I also want the player things at the top of the page back. When you hover your mouse over the head it tells you which player it is. I find it helpful to see who is on.
 
you know there is a difference between "want" and "would like". :P

some of the things your talking about boomy are server side as well. meaning they would need to make sure the plugin is working with the current setup of the server. ;)

so its not just a simple "turn on" situation. because if it was it would have already been up. :D

I know commander is working hard on these things and if he can he will try to provide what he can. :)
 
Sorry to repeat everybody else, but the online users list was most informative. Useful for high risk situations
 
how about have a helper staff member on the side!
like the mr paper clip guy in microsoft office stuff
we could have a little fluffy with question mark on his head and once clicked answers FAQ!

Best idea I've heard so far. We could perhaps have a sort of chat thing for the site only where you can ask questions and have them answered by a group of people that know how everything works. It'd be so much better than to have them spam in-game chat everytime they can't find something on here. Something like a personal help chat thing, where people can talk to staff or reps directly.
Shouldn't make it like normal chat, though, since that would defeat the purpose of IRC.

You know darn well I use Firefox. I only use Explorer at school because you don't have to redownload all the flash players for it. I've explained this to you a million times.
But anyway thanks Fluffy. I'll see if your suggestion works.
