World Map Status

Just wanted to know what is up with the build world map. I see Historic was updated recently but build map hasn't. I know you guys are probably working on it but I just wanted to ask if we will ever see a live map? One more, and wouldn't it just be easier to just but a jpeg up instead? I know it won't show the land claims and regions.

Unfortunately the build map is having a few problems with the render but it should be sorted soon.
It would be possible to produce a jpeg of the map although the only way that could happen (i think) would be if somone were to take screenshots of the up to date world map and edit them together with photoshop.

I used to have a jpeg of Everglades but it proved quite hard to keep it up to date.

Isn't there a map that isn't hard on resources? not like a live map, but something that takes a picture of the world every so often? As I understand it, you manually have to update the current maps.

The world map used to do that if I remember correctly.

At the time the auto update was causing problems, wiping the regions that Yennage had put on to it.
We're trying to bring back the auto update feature.

Its being discussed, there is a problem with the automation system and we cant get it updating regularly on its own. Please be patient with this.

I do have better contact with the staff, but i would prefer not to waste my time trying again to get them to update the map (that i never use) regularly on the account of a single individual. As that we are working on 1.2.3, we have better things to do, and put the server resources to. rendering the maps takes a lot of resources that are currently taken up by our DEV server which we are hosting 1.2.3 on to test.

When we say that we are doing what we can, i would like people to take us at face value. It gets extremely annoying when i have to say the same thing to 15 different people.
