I had an idea for a public mall. Shops are very important on this server, and it would be nice for shops to be in one location. I have a good location, it's off of the north-south interstate, and close to the desert warp. I have a few questions for the people on the forums:

1) Would you be interested in having a shop in this mall?

2) If you don't want a shop, would you visit the mall and purchase items?

3) How big should I make the shops?

4) Should I charge for people who want shops? If so, how much?

Thank you for your answers! If I get good responses, I will start building the mall.

Its a good idea for people that want to sell items for cheaper than the global shop but want to make more profit from the shop sales so
1) Yes it seems to be a pretty good idea (although thats providing people want to make shops there)
2) I probably would depending on what shops are there and what people are selling.
3) They wouldn't need to be too large but just have quite a large storage room for the shopkeepers.
4) Completely your choice, i wouldnt but thats just the way i am.
 
where will it be because i already have a shop and good set up another and create a chain
 
1) I dont do shop work but I know a few who would

2) Yes most certainly, maybe u could make player banks also so players dont have to keep tele-ing

3) shop area should be decent, with enough space that they can showcase their materials, but with enough space underground or back storage room somewhere

4) u could have a one time fee, or a monthly charge if u like
 
Setting up a shop with a rent on it sabotages profits.

One time fee would be best.
 
i am defiantly in only if there is no or only one fee and also i can help supply the materials to make the mall

3) At least 10x10x4 but you could charge more for larger shops

4) Yes, or at least the big ones, probably at least 25-50 caps every 2 weeks to a month, depending on how much traffic the mall gets.

Also, I would be willing to help build/donate
 
I started building the mall. I need donations of glass, and more people who want shops. Most shops will be free and come with a free stockroom. Larger shops will have a one-time fee. I will be working out the prices on these units soon. However, free shops will be a decent size. Post here on this thread if you want to have a shop in the mall. The more people I have, the more people will come visit and buy. If I get enough people, I will talk to the admins about a warp, or just a road from the desert warp.

UPDATE:

I will be making a wall with the names of anyone who donates. It will be in the front, so everyone will see it.

Hey michael I will for sure donate and make a store in ur mall.
It would be nice to hav a pretty big space will freedom to build walls and what not inside.
It would also be a good idea to charge people. 25 sounds reasonable. :)

BeuTube, you can definitely have a shop. The more the merrier! The shops are in the 10-15 cap range too. I going to make a list of shop owners and donators, so ill put your name down. Talk to me in-game to look at the shops I have available.
 
I want a shop. But i am not willing to pay for a shop. I think i might just make my own shop seperatly.
 
There are free shops available, come check them out. Im not charging to turn a profit, its to expand the mall and improve it.
 
Hey one more thing Michael may I do the honors of making you a sign for your mall?
That would be awesome!
 
Also I think ill take a break from my bridge and come help u with the mall if that's ok with you
