This has given me an idea, I'd like tips and tricks in "translating" a picture into Minecraft blocks.
I'd like to know about your building method.
 
This was a 8 bit pixel art done by a professional artist. When i dont get so lucky, i use photoshop to pixelate a picture and then work from there. I think there's a youtube video on how to do it. I added the actual 8 bit art to my albums if you want to see the full picture of it.

I'm sometimes able to pixelate by moving the image into paint and resizing it by width or height for the desired pixels space in-game. Sometimes it works out alright... Then I go over each pixel and adjust it to in-game colours until I have an image I like. Thats what I did with my Coca-Cola image, which was easy cuz it was only Red and White.
