For old times sake we have archived the forums to keep bot spam down and keep the original history of the server archived for future players to browse. We have moved to discord now for a closer community feel. If the server gains a ton more players again like the past the forums will reopen with the original sections archived and locked.

Server popularity is based on competition.

If a server has something new and one server is still stuck on an old version due to whatever reason.
Of course all the people are going to go to the new server because its new and the old server has to decide if they want to compete with the better one by upgrading or stick to the past and "hope people will stay because they want to."

People joined this server because it was new and it satisfied their boredom. If nothing new has been introduced people WILL get bored and move on. Im honestly feeling really bored about this server as there are no active projects going on all the time.

If we had 1.8 i would actually have something to do with pistons (upgrading, experimenting) and a lot more people would join because they have the ability to join easily without downgrading and have something to do aswell.

MY ONLY REQUEST: Pistons. I really, really, REALLY, dont care about the bad side of it, it just want pistons.

And you're right...besides the wall project, the interstate, the spleef arena, donor city and countless other individual projects that are going on, there are no active projects. I mean seriously...I only have about 5 on-going projects myself, there is absolutely nothing for me to do on the server. And the competition, look around at all these awesome servers that steal all the kids from this sub-par server. We are so stuck in the past, we need to pick it up. Jangles, we need pistons to actually have fun in minecraft. It is the only way. I don't know how I've managed to have fun on this server since September 26th, 2010 back when 1.2 was new, and we still didn't have pistons. And the downgrading....it is sooo freaking hard to change the name of a jar in my bin...I don't know why I even bother.

1.8 and Pistons is a #1 thing this server needs.

Pistons still arnt going to happen until we get a system for logging blocks that a piston moves. the duping glitch is of no concern.
 
refined im adding that too dont worry. however most of our users never come from there. its usually a google search.
 
Get rid of the spam forums... All it does is encourage forum actiity... Just sayin bro...

I've been a awy for a bit too, but I haven't left. I have a 2nd version of minecraft for this server, and a 1.8 for single player. Don't worry, the server kicks ass. (the new site looks great too) ;->=

the idea of the spam forum is that everyone will do all of their spamming there and leave the rest of it spam free. I do my best to enforce this.
