Exp Suggestion

Since exp orbs are disabled due to lag, I found a solution that would enable us to have exp without the lag. This plug-in allows you to buy exp through iConomy for a configurable price and you can buy levels too. This plug-in would allow us to have enchantments without the lag and if someone were to die with experience, the exp orbs would not be created because of the exp orbs being disabled as they are now.

ROFL! I just read that wrong. I was thinking of Windows XP, and yeah, you have to pay for that, lol.

Anyway, yea, won't the rich be stronger than the weak now? Seems to off-balance the medium. Unless you disable this in PvP.
 
That's the problem.
We are unable to implement things like this because of unbalancing issues.

We were planning on adding enchanted items to the shop, but it creates the same problems.
 
Is there a plugin that automatically adds xp to the user? Like iConomy for xp? I'll take a look on bukkit and see if I can find anything.
 
Shouldn't experienced players be rewarded for their time and effort by having an advantage over others. That is how it works with most games that I know of. Also, doesn't exp normally create an advantage in minecraft. And with this plug-in at least we would be able to have exp.
 
Usually games are pretty equal and manage fighting between players by what level they are.
As we have no levelling system and don't really plan to implement one this system will not really work.
 
So exp in general will not be enabled since there is no system to make it so you fight with others of your own skill? As of now, it is not experienced players fighting experienced players and noobs fighting noobs, but random.

I would be very pissed off if I was a newbie and wanted to play in PVP, but get killed 100 times with one-hits.

Like Alien says, we don't have a level system. So it really will not work.
 
So you think that exp shouldn't be in minecraft? Or that this purchasing system shouldn't be enabled in PvP?
 
The best plan would to find a plugin that gives you xp when you kill a player or mob, but directly gives it to you, not in orb form. It's the xp entity that lags, not the xp itself. Look for a plugin that skips the orb stage, directly into your bar. It would also prevent people stealing orbs when they hit the ground.
 
Well, definitely not in PvP. That could turn ugly with powerful factions. Where say, they have 50 members, all with enhancements. A young faction of 10 with nothing could not even meet up to them.

But, using it in PvE, you can use it on mobs. Might unbalance the mob droppings a bit, though.

In build and creative, why the hell would you need it?
 
I can give a demonstration on the sort of items you can obtain with enchantments.
They are a little crazy when it comes to mining equipment.
