I was thinking that adding a progress bar similar to the donations bar would help reassure people that staff are still making progress on the server even if it is not very obvious. The progress bar, or whatever it is decided to be called, would focus on major updates to the server such as the PvP world reset.

I'm confused..
Is this like a countdown to the next reset of PvP?

Why would anyone need to know that?
I guarantee you that if we stopped working on the server you'd notice the difference. We usually try to give time limits on how long things will take with the exception of plugins as we don't know.

The idea was that the progress bar would show the progress toward the next potential big update, PvP being reset is just an example.

Most likely you'd see the bar go up and down so rapidly that it would be pointless. :P

MCA doesn't tend to update very often and therefore the bar would show how much progress is being made toward the update. So I don't think the bar would be shooting up and down.

And what exactly would you use as a unit of measurement? 2 lines of code written? 3 new trees placed? I think it'd take more time to worry about something like this than anything that staff is worried about. It'd just be more on their plates.

Just be patient for updates is all I could suggest. Whats the rush?

The units of measure would be arbitrary but the point of the progress bar was to be more of a gimmick than anything else.
