With the PvE being reset, I was searching for a new desert to supply sand for my glass builds and I found a forest village. I decided to build the poor chums a picket fence barrier around their village to keep away zombies when it started to rain...then, a lightning strike - and four skeleton horses with undead bowmen spawned just in front of me! My first thought was 'Huh, well that's new...' but they immediately began dealing me a grade A butt whoopin'. They were super fast and my tactic for survival was 'Run!' I eventually found enough cover to begin shooting back but I ended up being a human pin-cushion of arrows before the last one fell.

I'm not sure how close the village is to PvE spawn but I'm moving on...if anyone wants to TP to it, let me know - I have a pw saved. It would make a decent noob-town I think but I think trading with the villagers has been disabled as right-clicking on them does nothing.

I'd love to post the screen cap of the whole fiasco but photobucket hasn't been behaving for me - rather than letting me upload, it wants me to log in over and over again. I'm starting to suspect it's been abandoned. -_-

I was hit with a pack of these yesterday too. After freeing the mounts of their riders, I found the best 1 of the 4 skeleton horses and now use it to travel PvE quickly. The sad part is Mojang missed allowing leads to work on zombie & skeleton horses, so crossing the great waters is near impossible as full grown horses are unable to enter boats.
