whenever minecraft.net goes down people wonder why they don't hear anything from notch, this is because it isn't his area. mollstam deals with issues such as minecraft.net being down and gives tweets on what has gone wrong etc. i feel this would be of benefit.

please don't reply if your going to tell me that they need to sort things out and get their act together.

lol no i know what your saying here. mojang needs a real team leader. as i see it they have none. but haveing mollstams twitter feed on the site wont make matters better. he posts more than just when the server is down. and hell i never pay attention to tweets anyways.

when the servers are down they are down. untill you can login try again. thats what i go by. but eh. what do i know im just a minecraft community member and not me or any other community member can tell mojang how to run the company smoothly.

they really need a real company website. and a hell of alot of priority set straight. however none can be achieved if they are so willing to shut out community members with leadership skills.

I'm amazed they don't even have an external Mojang server status page... Agree with what commander says about some leadership too, I mean Steam has 1 page per game for news about updates etc whereas with Mojang you have to follow one guy's twitter account for Minecraft update news (as well as his own personal posts) and someone else's to find out why you can't play the game online. To me the whole system just seems to be needlessly messy

Agreed.
gijsgijs this is also purely about mojang themselves. There are many fan made sites that show things but mojang themselves are pretty much useless at managing their own services.

Also fanmade things arent usually too accurate. It seems to update every 5 minutes or so, but still.

Derp, Mojang website.
http://isminecraftdown.net/
Derp, external site for checking if minecraft.net is down. (fanmade though)

lol oh dear... i guess i should do a little more research before i rant about Mojang (no idea how i forgot about mojang.com but oh well)

BUT i stand by my point about their twitter accounts being of limited use because they also use them for random personal posts
