I've been getting very tired of chopping down trees and strip-mining in order to earn a profit, and I was just thinking that farming should be able to earn one a living. Since hunger doesn't occur in build (or at least it does very slowly), there's really no other point to farming, yet it's so satisfying to harvest a field of wheat and melons and pick up all those item drops (maybe it's just me, I don't know...). What if melon blocks could be sold to the shop for somewhere around $0.01/block? It'll take quite some time to earn much of a profit, keeping the economy stable, but you could at least earn something off of it. Bread and pumpkins could be sold as well, but they would be a little less balanced. Just a thought.

Anyways, thanks for reading this and see you on the server!

No hunger in Build. Also, melon blocks are only available when using Silk Touch tools, so that doesn't really work.

If you are after caps donating's always an option :-)

You could also offer your services out to others, usually not as lucrative though.

Do you have to choose a separate option to get caps for donating? I didn't get any :\

I'm suspicious of you asking changes to the economy, especially when you want to make a living, yet want your melon blocks priced at one cent each.

I figured that the reason crops/melons/pumpkins weren't in the shop was because people were abusing automatic farms and earning too much money, causing an economical imbalance. If you first have to turn the melons into blocks, which wouldn't be worth much anyways, people would be less likely to abuse automatic/semi-automatic farms while people like me who just want a few extra caps while not cutting down trees could still get that from melons. I'm sure that the staff can work out an appropriate price if they decide to add melons to the shop.

...people like me who can have auto-clickers do the crafting for them...

I don't know why you insist on the low price, I'm guessing it has to do with the massive scale with which you intend to farm melons.
Also, you can already sell melon blocks directly to people, for probably more than one cent per block.

He just wants to get money from his melon farm, which I believe is auto-harvested. He's abused farming before, and I believe the low price is so he doesn't raise too much suspicion.

It's not auto. I have to manually harvest each block. I was keeping all of the staff and other players in mind when I suggested the low price since there are players who would create large auto melon farms. The price is probably a bit low, but it would prevent abuse. If you want, I can show you my farm to prove I'm not abusing anything.
