Hey Addicts,

We're currently in the process of optimising the current server anti-cheat along with adding and removing a few things.

If you experience any problems relating to this please post in this thread with the problem you're experiencing and how to replicate the problem if possible.
Please refer to the list below to see if your issue has already been reported.

Current Known Issues:
Potion sprint jumping triggers speed

Fixed Issues:
False wrongblock triggers

Thanks

Don't set the settings too strict, as a ton of false positives tend to happen when servers do that and it can be quite annoying if it kicks you for sprinting or falling for too long.

Also please don't ruin blockjumping like last time :(

We're working on the settings still, this thread is only for if you've been affected by something that shouldn't have happened.

Also block jumping isn't an intended feature and will likely not work.

I don't know if its related but I get heavy lag and disconnects when there is only two people online.

The anti cheat plugin is giving too many false positives, the anti-speedhack mechanism is messing with normal,, sprinting for example, and I get the feeling that the anti-noFall mechanism is giving us more damage for no particular reason although I'm not 100% positive on that. If you want I could do some more testing if it gives any false positives for anything else.

ya the other day when running while under effect of a speed potion it kept slowing me back down while trying to sprint jump.

You'd be wrong with the nofall damage as it isn't set to deal damage.
As for the sprinting, it doesn't trigger the speedhack option, it triggers the sprinting too long and is due to the time between the server receiving the packets for when you started sprinting. It barely pushes you back and is due to the latency between you and the server.
My testing showed that it pushed me back roughly half a block each time although it will depend on your latency.

Potions on the other hand are handled differently but there's no options to confirm how it's working.

This problem is was related to what the server thought you were hitting which seems extremely stupid. It has been disabled.
It thought you were breaking a certain block but you then broke another causing it to roll back entirely, it then kicks you after a few instances.

try running on half slabs or sprinting and jumping around. It pushes me back so much that normal walking seems to get me from a to b faster. Honestly the ammount of push-backs shouldn't depend one people's latency because this makes it even more unfair for them.

IMHO if a check is breaking normal gameplay, try and reconfigure that check so it doesn't break normal gameplay. I don't see why we need a time limit on sprinting anyways, because most of the worlds are building worlds and we have unlimited food to sprint.

Also if anything i say doesnt make sense it might be because Im on my phone and overlooked some things

I'm quite aware of what happens.
Any plugin that goes on the server goes through testing for 4 - 7 days on dev. I can guarantee that you aren't being pushed back as far as you think you are.

Lag is interesting in minecraft and actually gives the player experiencing the lag the advantage. Players trying to hit a player with lag will usually miss whilst the hits from a player with lag to another player will just be delayed. So realistically it balances the issues around lag and doesn't hinder anyone.

yeah it was quite bad.. hawk was able to outrun me without speed potion cause i kept getting stopped/slowwed down everytime i would try to run after him meaning i had to double tap W each time just to get back running

I'm not saying I'm getting pushed back really far, I'm saying it happens a lot, too much sometimes.

Any feedback on the changes that were put in place for sprinting and potion sprinting?

i still seem to be getting the random stops/push backs.. it does seem a little better i think but still happens even more so when jumping and sprinting(real bad when in a two block tall area and u jump sprint)
