Trabnaxes

A few days ago I posted an appeal in the appropriate forum. But seeing as that though it has been viewed there is no feedback or response to it, I am moving my thread somewhere public to increase the chances of it being seen. Here is what I posted.

Hi, I'm Trabnaxes, and recently I was banned from your Minecraft Server. I believe this decision was unjust. I did nothing against the rules on the server and did not warrant a ban for my actions. I was following the rules on the server, merely building and being friendly in the chat. My ban was for the reason "consipring to events". Which I was not. there is no proof I was doing anything of this nature nor do I see a rule against it thus I believe that my ban should be repealed. The reason on my Forum ban was "No Reason Specified" which seems a bit unfair as well. Though that problem seems to have been corrected. I do not see "Conspiring to events" anywhere in the rules, and I don't think I should have been banned immediately without any notice or a chance to correct any mistakes I had made. It was assumed that I do not want to be a part of the community, and this statement is false. I do want to be a part of the community. I made one forum thread which is now gone, though the information in it was false, I was corrected by Alien in the comments of the thread. He explained and answered my questions in a courteous manner and I agreed to what he responded. Then after the thread was up for about 24 hours, I was banned without notice and without cause. I hope that I may be reenlisted to the server so that I may again work toward the goal of helping my fellow user/builder/donator and the staff have fun on the server. I will not be posting anything further on the forums that could be considered "Dangerous" to the server or its staff or the community. I see that the next time I have a problem I should go to Jangles. And No One Else. I apologize if my comment was hurtful and out of place, but as I previously stated, I was corrected and answered by Alien12. Thank you for your time and I hope to see you among the blocks of MCA. -Trabnaxes

Mistake.
You did the right thing by posting it in Plead My Case, but this wasn't smart of you.
Ban appeals take a while (since really, it's for people begging for mercy, so there's no rush).

The appropriate people have read it, and will reply once they've made a decision.
I vote this post be deleted (I'm looking at you Mods).

Thats dumb, They should tell you when your case is under review. Also why delete this? Why shouldn't this be public? I did nothing wrong and have nothing to hide

I think Jeff's right, the Plead your case forum is the best place for this, and personally, your thread smacks a little of trying to rile up some anger from the community to pressure a decision being made in your favour.

I'm sure you'll maintain that this is all in the interest of getting more eyes on your post, and who knows, maybe that's the case, but to me this wasn't a very classy move.

Class? Was there any class in banning me for no reason?

Merely suggesting that perhaps you had an alterior motive with this thread apart from simply getting feedback ;)

From a purely personal perspective, I feel your ban reason was that your threads (and to the same extent your actions in game) tended to go pretty far above and beyond calls for changes and veered into the realms of deliberate attempts to cause aggro (I must admit, for me they always tended to read more like calls to action than requests for changes).

The situation on this front seems to have calmed significantly recently so I'm sure you'll agree and recognise that, from the perspective of the staff, posting up a thread like this can come across as trying to cause some problems, regardless of whether or not that was your intention.

I spoke with staff about making this public if I was not given a quick reply. And they suggested that I make it public if I do not get a reply. I was also told the decision is up to Jangles, not the staff, and that he had not seen my post yet. My actions cannot be proven because it has all been removed. Also I just want to get unbanned. I did nothing wrong, and the fact I was banned is completely unfair. I had no warnings and was given no chance. I wasn't even allowed to Appeal because my forum account was also banned. I am aware of the rules and I broke none.

I suppose the 'spoke with staff' is your conversation with me, where you asked if you should make it public and I said it wouldn't be a wise idea.
You were told to wait for a response.

I think we should just all calm down, after all this is just a game! :p

If your motives are to simply get more eyes on your post or serve as a quick reminder that your post is in the pleads section, that's totally fine; heck, it's the reason I did what I could to explain your ban reason as best I could from our perspective. For example, you explained that you felt your ban was unjust as you didn't feel you broke any rules so I've attempted to clarify that it seemed you were more interested in raising problems rather than making reasonable suggestions.

That being said, the staff you've spoken with were also correct that this is Jangles' decision to make and, at the end of the day, your appeal has been posted, viewed here by any users who wish to see it and will have a decision made by Jangles (on your thread in the Plead section) once he has seen/evaluated it in the usual process for bans/pleads.

What did I just say "Admin", I said to calm down It's just a game!

There is nothing in the rules that I would have broken by stating any of this. I only sent this from community because I felt Jangles had preciously said he from now on was only checking private messages and he never responds to me when I send them. I also felt that had I sent him anything, he would have instantly rebanned me and not even read my appeal. I felt it was necessary at this point to post it in the community threads so he would see it and respond, rather than having to black out the website so only he can see my appeal.

No arguments here, just trying to help you out with some further info until you get a reply ;) I think you've put across your view that you feel your ban was unjust and I've done what I can to offer some context and explanation for any casual viewers. To avoid going round in circles or repeating ourselves, I think all that's left now is to wait for a reply on your plead.

There is a point to Minecraft, it is to "mine" and "craft", not to ban players, not be an "admin" or "OP".

Thank you Yennage, I am glad that you're still being reasonable and trying to help me even now. I am sorry that it has come to this but I can't just sit by any longer like this. I am also very grateful to both you and Alien for not deleting my post. I know you and everyone else I have spoken to now assume the worst and believe that it was a grave mistake, but I know that if I didn't I would just sit and wait forever.

if it was up to me trab would be unbanned but unfortunately its not up to me but he was the coolest guy in the server
