This issue is making rage so much..

I can play normally (run, chat etc.) but only until I start destroying blocks (putting blocks doesn't seem to have the same effect). For the first few blocks it's ok, but then something happens that prevents the server from seeing my interactions. After that moment all destroyed blocks begin to instantly reappear without dropping a block item, built blocks dissapear, and items can't be picked up, I can still see new chat messages and other people moving around, but I cannot send any messages (if I send, nobody sees them, including me), and other people don't see my movements. If I don't disconnect instead wait to get disconnected with the following message:

Connection lost
Internal exception: java.net.SocketException: connection reset by peer: socket write error.

Anyone else having these problems? Is there any fix? This used to happen the odd time in 1.3 but 1.5 it seems to be happening constantly.

I've tried some fixes involving editing my network card settings but it's not helping at all.

Bird was having some issues yesterday and I removed his bin file. I will do the same for you now. Let me know if it helps at all.

I play completely vanilla and I've never had a problem. I would suggest starting there.

LOL I just knew I was asking that wrong. Yes the newest, but there is more than one company that makes a java platform, Sun being the most well known. Is there one that people find works best with Minecraft?

what? I thought the Java Runtime Environment needed to run MC was only available from one source, Sun microsystems or whatever they're called now.

im getting the same problem. I constantly spawn on limited chunks and fall off of the map when I log in. I'm using a Macbook Pro and i cant reinstall java because apple is weird and includes all Java updates when they feel like it.
