Blocks reappearing after breaking

Happening very often, almost every other block I break comes back into existence, which if I'm moving forward kicks me backward. This of course makes gameplay difficult.

I've tried resetting to the default texture pack but no help there. Don't know what else to try on my end.

if it only happens once in a while its called lag.

use a vannilla jar no mods added see if that helps.

It happens like every other block or so, seriously. It's like I'm doing twice the work - that often.

I downloaded a jar from here (or somewhere linked from here, can't remember) to rollback from 1.7, and I don't have any mods added. The only thing extra I have in my setup is a painterly pack which I resetted to the default texture pack with no change in block behavior.

It's a bukkit thing. Usually when you're experiencing it the whole server is.

Yeah I found out in-game others were experiencing it. Just wanted to be sure it wasn't something I messed up on my end.
